Description

Sail away with us to the Caribbean, via Italy. And sneak in some guerilla filmmaking in New York! We are loading George into the boat with Travis and Dan (and film historian and audio commentator extraordinaire Troy Howarth) and taking him on an adventure. But will he make it out alive?

Zombie (AKA Zombi 2, AKA Zombie Flesh Eaters, AKA Los Muertos Vivientes) is the first in a wave of Dawn of the Dead cash-ins that flooded the market after the success of Romero's 1978 Masterpiece. It is the zombie movie equivalent of Bird With the Crystal Plumage, and so what better way to celebrate it than with the return of Troy Howarth?

Will George survive "The Scene" or will he give up and swear off gore forever? Will Travis prefer the aquatic antics of the Italian master of gore over the commercialism of Dawn of the Dead? Given that this is the movie that brought Dan into the world of Italian Horror Cinema... is it time for Dan to stop and evaluate whether that was a good thing? (Spoiler: It total was!)

Titles in the series (100)

Poor George. He's never seen any movies. Rather than mourn their dear friend, Travis and Dan have taken it upon themselves to show him what he is missing. But they don't stop at showing him famous movies! They also help George to understand how each film fits into the Great Narrative of Film. Not only THAT the film of the week is significant, but WHY and HOW. Also, they make jokes and stuff.
