In 1979, Italian filmmaker Ruggero Deodato was approached by a mysterious group of German film distributors to make another installment in his Cannibal Trilogy. Thus was born: Cannibal Holocaust! A tale of documentarians venturing into the Amazon and clashing with a local tribe of cannibals!
In part 1 we’ll tell you all about how this came to be, what was going down in Italy in 1980, and we’ll do so with the return of Dev!
WARNING: this movie is known as one of the most graphically violent films ever and involves footage of actual animal murder and also some human murder.
