For the second companion movie during "Dead Boy Summer," Derek and Aaron tackle 1979's Italian zombie flick "Zombie" (also known as "Zombi 2") directed by Lucio Fulci. They discuss the wild copyright laws of the time in Italy that allowed for an unofficial "sequel" to George A. Romero's "Dawn of the Dead," and the decision making behind Fulci and the producer that lead to its creation. They also talk about the putrefied zombie make-up direction, the underlying themes of the western world exploiting native lands, how the "zombie vs shark" scene came to be, among many other aspects of the film.
