Description

In this special episode, the Spoop Bois finally take on another juggernaut of horror cinema. Scientist and personal friend of the show Devin joins Aaron and Derek to discuss 1982's science fiction horror masterpiece "The Thing" directed by John Carpenter. They dig into the themes of distrust and isolation, how the horror holds up decades later, what else can be said about a film that has been thoroughly discussed, the expanded lore shown in the comics, etc. They also go through a brief history of the flick in regard to production including referencing the novella "Who Goes There?" and 1951's film "The Thing from Another World." Devin disappears in the snowstorm, Aaron spends time with the dog, and Derek is locked in the tool shack.
