Friends of the Rosary:
Yesterday, in the Gospel, John the Baptist saw and testified that Christ is the Son of God. (Jn 1:29-34) “I saw the Spirit come down like a dove from heaven and remain upon him.”
This way, John the Baptist gave witness to the role of the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ baptism.
“He [Jesus Christ] is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.”
With the Baptism, we all Christians are drawn out of this fallen world into a new world.
It’s the sacrament of our birth in the spiritual life. The Eucharist and the other sacraments nourish our life in communion with Jesus.
