As we get into conference play for College Basketball, it’s a great moment to make predictions of the regular season champions of the Power 6 Conferences – ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac 12, SEC.
The ACC is a four-team race with Virginia, North Carolina, Duke, and Miami. Isaac Schade & Leif Thulin are both picking UVA to win the regular season crown, assuming Reese Beekman is back to full health.
In the Big 12, it didn’t seem like it would play out this way, but Kansas is your pick from both Isaac & Leif. Bill Self’s team has risen to the occasion and over Baylor and Texas.
For the Big East, no need to get cute: this is UConn’s conference to lose.
Moving to the Big Ten though, things get murky, with what Isaac believes is the most difficult to project. The guys split here as Leif chooses Purdue, and Isaac takes Ohio State.
Moving west, it’s a two-horse race in the Pac 12 between Arizona and UCLA. Leif chooses UCLA while Isaac is picking Arizona.
Finally, the SEC, which is the second-most difficult to project this season. Due to Kentucky’s struggles and Arkansas’ injury issues, Leif selects Tennessee, while Isaac chooses Alabama.
