Even though VGK has a game in hand, the L.A. Kings cut the Golden Knights lead down to two points after a shootout win in Colorado Thursday, as the year draws to a close. L.A. broke a nine-game losing streak that last over four years. The Golden Knights will try to close out 2022 on a high note when they host the struggling Nashville Predators on Saturday at 12 noon. The New Year's Eve game should attract thousands of revelers, as the city is expected to have the most visitors ever for the weekend. Mark Stone said he is concerned about who is going to score for the VGK. The team rifled off more than 50 shots but scored just twice in Anaheim. VGK will get the Predators on the tail end of a back to back as they play in Anaheim on Friday.
