The Winter Meetings were a bit slow outside of a pair of big free-agent signings. We get into the latest rumors of the day and why some of these rumors out there are driving me nuts especially from the same sources time and time again. We talk about how free agency has helped the Guardians a little. We get into the nitty-gritty of how the Guardians have already added nearly 200K in pool money to their 2023 draft. I focus on the worst rumor of the day, the Astros being in on Sean Murphy when it makes little sense for them to be able to add him. We also dig into Trea Turner, a player who slid on draft day but is laughing all the way to the bank. 

The All MLB team was announced today and I explain why they are a joke due to half of the voting being fan based. I have some hot takes on Shane Bieber not making the team. This is just the fourth time for the ALL MLB team and the first time the Guardians have had two players make the team with Andres Gimenez and Emmanuel Clase. We get into those players' historically great years. 

We talk about why bad rumors keep popping up and simulate a conversation between the Guardians and the Athletics regarding the Sean Murphy deal. We also get into why no news is good news, and why it seems more likely to see a trade happen after the Rule 5 draft. There is more certainty after the draft for all teams and a team like the Athletics might want to wait to pull off a trade.
