The Colorado Avalanche paid tribute to long time commentator, Peter McNab Thursday night in an emotional pre-game ceremony. Ball Arena filled with applause instead of silence for all he has meant to the Avalanche franchise.
The Avs decided not to fill his role, at least for this game, and announcer Mark Mosher pulled double duty in calling the action for the first time without his trusty sidekick.
On the ice, the Avalanche looked great despite missing several key players whole bringing up some fresh faces from the Colorado Eagles team. In the end, it was a 5-3 win for the good guys.
