VGK's Reilly Smith returned to his native Toronto and scored two goals, including the GWG in overtime as the Golden Knights won their eighth straight game and fourth consecutive road win. VGK won despite putting just 20 shots on net. Smith scored a shorthanded goal, his eighth in the past four seasons. The Golden Knights worked on the penalty kill a lot this week and they were rewarded with the shorthanded goal. Smith said the Golden Knights had about 4 or 5 breakaways in the contest but only were able to capitalize on the two on one. Chris attended the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL) and learned a lot about the struggling team. Laurent Brossoit was chased after the first period in a 7-0 loss to San Diego. The HSK are now 2-9 in what was expected to be a Calder Cup contending season. And we discuss how this season is reminiscent of Season 1 for the Golden Knights.
