Eric Jackson, PhD, is currently the Chief Technical Officer for 25:2 Solutions and the architect of the company’s NATIVCROP Lab. Throughout his career, Jackson has studied biology as a pre-med student, plant pathology, quantitative genetics, and statistical genomics. As Senior Principal Scientist at General Mills Inc., Jackson became the first scientist to completely domesticate a wild oat species using a novel non-GMO approach. In this podcast, John Troup, PhD, and Jackson discuss oats and bitter compounds. Jackson first started studying oats over ten years ago during his postdoctoral fellowship with the USDA and Texas A&M University.
