Description

As a current medical student in India, Manik has never travelled to the US but he is actively preparing to apply into US residency. He even studied for the USMLE without a review course or other help. Now you may think Oh he is a genius, blah blah, blah. But he came on today's episode to share how he has never been a genius but he just figured out how to prepare for a standardized American test!
What I admire about Manik is his sense of direction and personal fortitude. You can hear it in his voice as he tells us exactly how he studied in this episode. He was always drawn to Psychiatry, and is looking forward to completing residency training in the field.
In this episode, Manik lays out:
1. The difference between active and passive learning
2. How to prepare for the USMLE outside of the US
3. How to approach  analyzing  questions for standardized tests such as the USMLE
4. How elimination helps with standardized test taking.
5. How he learned to adapt to the US way of testing even while studying medicine outside the US.
You can find him on Instagram at this handle : the_zen_of_cool . You can also find him youtube at https://www.youtube.com/c/ZenOfUSMLE . His youtube video of the same title already had 36, 000 view in under a month. You definitely know you want to grasp this knowledge like 36K other IMGs have!

The IMG Roadmap is the only podcast dedicated to guiding International Medical Graduates (IMGs) with success blueprints for this unique pathway. This podcast offers practical tools and equips IMGs with applicable strategies to achieve their “US doctor goals”. I do so by bringing information from successful physicians with first hand experience to students who are still in the process of becoming resident physicians.
