The Miami Hurricanes could not get out of their own way when it came to mental mistakes and offensive miscues. The Hurricanes lost to Texas A&M 17-9 at College Station on Saturday, September 17th, 2022. The Hurricanes became the first team since 2000 to pick up 27 first downs in a game without scoring a single touchdown. Miami out-gained the Aggies 392 to 264, out-rushed them 175 to 124 and had 217 passing yards to 140. 
Host Alex Donno reacts to and recaps the game, with the Hurricanes falling to 2-1 on the season. There were plenty of things that worked for Miami. The offensive line looked great and didn’t allow a sack. The defense played exceptionally well, getting 3 sacks, 5 tackles for loss and managed to keep A&M quarterback Max Johnson off balance throughout. Miami has become a physically stronger team since a year ago. 
The passing game looked out of synch, though, with Tyler Van Dyke unable to build any rhythm or chemistry with his wideouts. His top target Xavier Restrepo missed the game and will be out several weeks with a foot injury. There were several dropped balls from receivers and from running back Henry Parrish. A muffed punt by Tyrique Stevenson led to 7 early Aggies points and really provided the turning point in the game. Was the play-calling too conservative from offensive coordinator Josh Gattis?
