The Miami Hurricanes survived on the road against Virginia in a 14-12 quadruple overtime game. Both teams struggled mightily to score, with the Canes struggling on offense behind backup quarterback Jake Garcia. Garcia started in place of an injured Tyler Van Dyke. Garcia hit just 1 of 6 passes thrown beyond 20 yards down field and didn’t have much confidence in his own throws. On the bright side, he didn’t throw any interceptions and he did run in the game-winning 2 point score in the fourth overtime. 
Host Alex Donno recapped the Virginia game, which featured an excellent performance from Miami’s defense. They didn’t give up a touchdown in the game and saw especially great play from defensive tackle Leonard Taylor who had 4 tackles for loss and a sack and a half. Are the Hurricanes ready for the Florida State Seminoles?
The Seminoles have opened as 9 point favorites per Bet Online. Donno expected it to open around 6 or 6.5 since it’s a rivalry game. Is that spread made with the assumption that Garcia, not Van Dyke, will start at quarterback? Miami will need to slow down the Seminoles rushing attack. The Noles are the best running team in the ACC at over 209 yards per game. The Hurricanes have the second best rushing defense in the conference.
