We dig into a bunch of odds and ends when it comes to the Guardians. We discuss the impending promotion of Cody Morris. The roster moves that could be incoming. Why I think Will Brennan is not the right promotion right now. More than anything I focus on why this team needs to see what the young players can do and which of these young outfielders can help sooner than later between the current grouping of Benson, Valera, Jones, and Palacios who are already on the 40-man roster. 

Next up is the loss itself. Triston McKenzie was not his usual dominant self but the offense was the issue. They scattered hits and what has been the story for this team over the last few games is that they can't seem to bring it all together to get runs on the board.

 I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention Gunnar Henderson’s debut. I dug out an old tweet from draft day 2019 where I stated my Guardians prediction was Gunnar Henderson, Brooks Lee, and Kyren Paris. Cleveland instead grabbed Daniel Espino and this could be a fun debate for a decade with the quality of all of those players .I also focus on production during the month of August. As it has been during most months of the baseball season Andres Gimenez is the offensive leader of the team. It might be surprising that the second-worst bat has been Josh Naylor. We talk about lineups and wear and tear as it might be affecting the Guardians in the stretch run.
