This week, Liz shares a very emotional and tough situation that happened to her and her husband last year when $750,000 was stolen from them during a real estate transaction. This is probably the toughest thing that has happened to her and her husband in their 10 plus years of investing. But they persevered through this hard experience and was reminded of a lot of important lessons as a result.   Today’s minisode lessons include: If you raise private money, do whatever it takes to protect their money. No matter what. Above all, don’t ever think you know it all in this business. Always stay grounded, humble, and learn from every situation. Lastly, don’t give up. Even though there were moments we wanted to throw in the towel during this situation, we did not.
