Description

Dr Danielle Arabena, is a descendant of the Meriam Mer people in the Torres Strait, a medical doctor, GP specialist,  educator, respected figure in the medical community and host of the Indigenous Health MedTalk podcast. This episode delves into aboriginal history, ancient medicine, medical magic and how we no longer recognise the importance of connecting to our menstrual cycle. We discuss how we can all benefit from sitting with ourselves properly during our cycle, learning more about our womb space and the energy it carries, including pain, trauma, and loss that we may be holding onto.Through her formal higher education studies, trials and cultural journeying, Dr Danielle Arabena has arrived into her true authentic self as a Doctor, Doula, Healer and Indigenous health educator. Danielle has spent 30 years devoted to studies of all types, defying odds & bending stereotypes.  Dr Danielle has a particular interest in holistic women's health, menstruation, childbirth, lactation and postpartum care. LINKS:Website- https://www.drdaniellearabena.com/Podcast- https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/indigenous-health-medtalk/id1449821987IG - @drdaniellearabenaArtist - Delvene Cockatoo Collins https://cockatoocollins.com/Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/themidwivescauldron)

Join us as we hubble, bubble, toil, and trouble our way through aspects of midwifery, birth, lactation, and womanhood. We tackle and discuss a variety of topics within the sphere of womanhood, birth, and lactation and what this entails in today's society. We want to be able to share in the strengths of women gathering together and being more informed, for their birth, their feeding experience, and the transition into knowing ourselves better. This is the podcast to connect us as a greater circle of women united.
