Description
Yes, I started off this video with that explosive soundbyte from Torre Becton (Director of Football Performance) at @Texas Longhorns Football. Hope it gave you chills like it did for me. I'm currently re-watching all of the losses for Texas football last year (I know, depressing) and the biggest key was that they constantly lost the time of possession battle. In fact, Texas was 1-7 last year when they lost the time of possession battle. Yes, Texas lost every game where they lost the possession battle. This is why it is the most important stat for this Texas football team in 2022. Sark fielded a very explosive offense in 2021 that averaged 35 points per game but it was not efficient. Their inability to sustain drives, left our defense on the field for way too long which led to teams running it down our throat and ultimately leading to a 5-7 season. If Texas can get closer to the 32 minutes they gave their opponents last year and hold their opponents to 28 minutes a game that they had, 9 wins should be the floor for this football team in 2022. After that we talk about four of Texas's key targets in this recruiting class that are currently leaning towards Texas and how that will affect their recruiting class moving forward. Last but not least, I discuss my most important players for Texas to have the type of success they are accustomed to. My most important player on the defensive side is Alfred Collins, one of the most talented defensive players in the 2020 recruiting class and arguably the most talented defensive lineman on this football team. Sark has said that the most important position in his offense besides quarterback is tight end. So if Quinn Ewers is the most important and that's cliche, that would mean Jahleel Billingsley would be the second most important position on his offense. I look for Jahleel to consistently exploit mismatches and help this offense be even more explosive in 2022. Hook Em
