Description

They’re still out there. In fields, in barns and in garages all over the world, just sitting and deteriorating. Some have been abandoned, while others have been neglected due to a lack of interest, time, or funds. But they are still there, patiently waiting for someone to come along an resurrect them in a capacity that gets them back on the road. At first glance, you may not think of Dylan McCool as the savior of these neglected old rides but trust us when we tell you that this soft-spoken guy from Tennessee, is just that. Dylan isn’t some old crotchety guy either, but instead, a mid-twenty something year old enthusiast with a YouTube channel that has over 500k subscribers. Under his “About” button is a simple statement: “Want to see some awesome cars? Be sure to subscribe and enjoy.” That’s it. On this episode of the Hemmings Hot Rod BBQ Podcast, we sit down with Dylan and talk about not only how he got into the hobby, but why he’s made it his mission to help save as many old cars and trucks as he can, while at the same time, raising awareness for the next generation of enthusiasts.

Dan Stoner and Mike Musto have been in this business for quite some time. Stoner comes from the world of big advertising and publishing before coming to Hemmings, while Musto made a name for himself as an automotive journalist and show creator. What do they have in common? Well, everything and nothing. They’ve got different tastes in cars and are both jealous of each other’s grooming habits, YET, they both love everything automotive culture has to offer. Thus, an idea was hatched, and The Hemmings Hot Rod BBQ was born!
