If you haven’t, then you should, if for nothing else then to broaden your horizons in the world of motorsports. These off-road events are some of the toughest and grueling that anyone can partake in. And while the skill and fortitude of the drivers is nothing short of amazing, we thought it was time to give a nod to those who bring that coverage to us in the comfort of our own homes. Ryan Douthit of Driving Sports TV is no stranger to the Hemmings Hot Rod BBQ. We’ve talked with him about car buying, technology, and a host of other topics as well. That aside though, he’s also one hell of a content producer. So much so that he was recently asked to cover the East African Safari Classic Rally that was just held in Kenya. On this episode we talk to Ryan about what it was like to work and obtain footage in the middle of open rally stages, in Kenyan villages, and alongside the locals in one of the coolest off-road events in existence.
