Description
Blind spots are something every person behind the wheel learned to deal with. We can't escape the fact that even though we maximize the precautions, they are there and represent great danger. Still, apart from being dangerous, the concept of blind spots fascinates me. Thinking about massive objects around us we can't see from a cubicle surrounded by windows is, at a minimum, odd. If we think about it, the concept applies perfectly to leadership, which is what this episode is about. Today, we explore the concept of blind spots in leadership. What are the things we might not see as leaders, and what are the consequences of ignoring them, even after someone pointed them out to us. I share my reaction to other leaders who pointed out blind spots in my leadership style, how it helped me in the long term, and what I think today would be the best reaction to such feedback. In This Episode, You Will Learn:How having leaders who pointed out blind spots in my leadership affected me (3:18)What changed in me and my leadership style after getting in touch with my blind spots (7:04)About my blind spots in mountain biking, my style issues, and how helpful it is to look at ourselves and our flaws (9:01)Why improving is easier, smoother, and more effective while we are having fun (10:37)Let's Connect!WebsiteLinkedInInstagram FacebookEmail: clint@flavorofleadership.com Hosted on Acast.
