Description

On today's episode, Jason kicks things off by explaining why he had zero issue with Doug Pederson tanking the Philadelphia Eagles' Sunday Night Football game against Washington (and thus keeping the New York Giants out of the postseason). The Eagles did what they had to do to improve their draft positioning. Where was all the outrage when the New York Jets and the Jacksonville Jaguars were tanking for Trevor Lawrence? People were actually applauding it then. But now because the Eagles did it in their last game of the season folks have an issue? Stop it. Later, Producer Rob joins the show to help Jason preview this weekend's NFL Wild Card Weekend Playoff games. All signs point to the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers cruising to easy wins over the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns, respectively. The Titans play zero defense and the Browns are too one-dimensional to keep with those two heavy-hitters in the AFC North. In the NFC, as crazy as it sounds, the Los Angeles Rams may be better off benching their franchise quarterback Jared Goff if they plan on beating the Seattle Seahawks. Goff has been brutal for the most of the season and now he's dealing with a broken hand. Bills-Colts and Saints-Bears aren't all that interesting, but the sneaky game-of-the-week may actually be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against Washington. Nobody actually expects Tom Brady and the boys to lose, but recent history is definitely not on their side. If you're a betting man, the smart play would be to tease that number way down. Finally, Jason closes the show by explaining why he's hoping that his beloved New York Jets buck conventional wisdom and take BYU's Zach Wilson in the draft instead of Ohio State's Justin Fields. Fields is a superb talent but the gap between he and Wilson isn't as big as you think, and the Jets would be wise to trade down, accumulate even more assets, and take the BYU signal caller as their quarterback of the future.
