Description

On today's episode, Jason shares his thoughts on the biggest headlines to come out of a wild weekend in the NFL. Kansas City had yet another nail-biting win on Sunday, and Jason says it's to start worrying a bit about Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. In an ideal world you want your team to be peaking heading into the postseason, but the Chiefs seem to be stuck in mud. Even worse, they appear almost disinterested on a quarter-to-quarter basis. If they don't snap out of quick they could find themselves getting knocked out before the Super Bowl. The New York Jets got their second win of the season over a depleted Cleveland Browns roster, and rather than pile on Baker Mayfield for letting it happen Jason says you should cut the quarterback some slack. The Browns didn't lose to the Jets because Mayfield was bad; they lost because a handful of his teammates made a terrible decision involving a hot tub. Jason also takes a long look at the NFC playoff picture and explains why he's really down on the Washington Football Team heading into Week 17. Between Dwayne Haskins and Taylor Heinicke, Washington may have the worst starting quarterback options in the NFL as the face a possible postseason play-in game. Later, Producer Rob joins the show to explain how Jon Gruden and the Las Vegas Raiders defense managed to ruin what had been a very lovely Christmas weekend in his household, and the guys discuss what - if anything - the Raiders can do to turn things around moving forward. Finally, Jason closes the show with a quick lookahead at the Monday Night Football clash between the Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots.
