Description

On this special Halloween episode, Jason and Super Producer Rob G (Robert Guerra) kick things off with a deep dive into the NFC Playoff picture heading into the midway point of the season. The addition of Christian McCaffrey has made the San Francisco 49ers offense downright scary. In fact, our fearless leader is already claiming that he'd take the Niners to beat the Philadelphia Eagles on the road should the two meet in the NFC Championship Game. On the flip side, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers continue to disappoint, and it's looking more and more likely that The Pack will miss the postseason altogether unless they make a big move at tomorrow's trade deadline. In fact, the guys agree that it's likely - if not probable - that two of the preseason NFC favorites (Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams) will end up missing the playoffs altogether. Later, Rob G and J-Mac take a few minutes to vent their frustrations after their beloved Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets both laid clunkers in Week 8 on the heels of what had been impressive wins in Week 7. The Jets may still end up making the playoffs, but if they do, it won't be because Zach Wilson led them there. You could actually make the case that Wilson is the fourth best quarterback to come out of the wildly disappointing 2021 Quarterback class featuring Wilson, Trevor Lawrence, Mac Jones, Justin Fields and Trey Lance. And yet, as bad as the Jets played, the one base that deserves the most pity on Monday morning is the Carolina Panthers. The referees absolutely hosed Carolina with that ridiculous unsportsmanlike penalty after DJ Moore caught what many thought was the game-winning touchdown pass in the final seconds. The NFL has to get that fixed this offseason. Finally, the guys close the show with a few quick thoughts on a handful of NBA topics, including: the Los Angeles Lakers getting their first win, the sluggish start for so many supposed title contenders and the Josh Primo saga in San Antonio.
