Description

On today's episode, Jason gets the party started by sharing his thoughts on what some are calling the greatest Final match in World Cup history. Lionel Messi (2 goals) and Argentina ended up being victorious but Kylian Mbappe (3 goals) put on a legendary performance himself in defeat. It was one of those games that even the staunchest soccer haters had to admit lived up to the billing. Moving over to the NFL, J-Mac opens things up by diving deep into his beloved New York Jets' excruciating loss to the suddenly streaking Detroit Lions. The Lions are arguably the most dangerous team in the NFL heading down the stretch while the Jets continue to stumble. Speaking of stumbling, did you see what happened in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Some will argue that Joe Burrow engineered yet another massive comeback but the truth is that Tom Brady and the Bucs lost this one more than Cincy won it. Later, Super Producer Rob G (Robert Guerra) swings by to discuss the Las Vegas Raiders' wild walk-off win over the New England Patriots. The Raiders have been involved in some of the craziest plays in NFL history, but I don't think we've seen anything close to an intercepted-lateral-returned-for-touchdown to finish off a game that had been tied before the snap. Crazy stuff. On a macro level, it's become painfully obvious that there are no truly elite teams in the NFL this season. The Buffalo Bills still can't run the ball, the Kansas City Chiefs defense is as leaky as ever, the Minnesota Vikings are clearly frauds, the Dallas Cowboys always disappoint and the Philadelphia Eagles are unproven; Don't be surprised to see one - or more - of these 'top' teams get bounced out early in the postseason.
