Monday, his left knee swelled up like a balloon, and he had to sit out. Will he play Wednesday in Houston? Nobody knows.So the very, very shorthanded Lakers took the floor against San Antonio sporting a lineup that probably wouldn't win 25 games in an 82 game season and put up a good fight before ultimately falling short. Losing sucks, no question, but in some ways it was a more enjoyable game to watch, with Carmelo Anthony doing a lot of old-man-at-the-Y stuff, Austin Reaves making nice plays, THT picking up some nice buckets and so on.But really, what does it mean that once again the Lakers are playing without LeBron and Anthony Davis... again?When it was over, attention turned back to Russell Westbrook and the incredibly challenging year he's had, including news Monday from his wife on social media that she's received threats to the family because of how poorly this whole thing has gone. Westbrook responded after the game, and it's a moment worthy of conversation. Meanwhile, a report in The Athletic notes the relationship between Westbrook and the coaching staff hasn't improved.
