Description
On Episode 8 Colah B Tawkin shouts out our non binary peeps and insists we embrace Kwanzaa365. We tap dance on politics and climate change as opposed to being politically neutral. Colah charges wildfires and global decay to white supremacy then encourages us to seek refuge in plants! Giveaway winners are announced!
Brittany aka @Blackgirlgreenworld joins us on the pod to get planty with us. We start with her transition from long time beauty blogger @clumpsofmascara to the plant lady we've come to cherish who still be fightin anxiety attacks and keeping it quite 100. Colah and Brittany recall their warm(hey FL hey) and mostly fuzzy memory of that one time in Orlando when literal Black Girl Magic (shout out to CaShawn!) brought them together pre-plants also pre-IG. A high key #Floridagardenersbelike bragging session ensues and Colah can't take it. Brittany shares her early bird self care/plant routine, succulents as unexpected divas, how to shop in your neighbor's yard for plants (again with the FL bragging) and so much more including how she was plant blind as a child. They discover is a mutual distaste for alocasia sanderiana and missed HBCU experience as FAMU Rattlers. Gems are dropped by the dozen and we all should appreciate how important it is to Stay #plantwoke!
