Description
Episode 7 begins with planted intentions and Colah B Tawkin is here for celebrating WINS! We're encouraged to go out into our communities and show up for our people. Of course Colah wants you to remember that we can all be plantrepreneurs. We get into an interview with Yinka, creator of Rooted Pots and our first black sponsor!
Art Director, 3D artist and proud black sheep son (spoiler alert: he's a Botanical Brotha!) of Nigerian immigrant parents. We discuss how Yinka combined his childhood love for video games and creativity with Self determination ( come on, Kujichagulia!) to take great strides down the path towards black excellence! He, shares how he made impact in the gaming industry contributing to the likes of Madden NFL and Tiger Woods Golf as well as Disney, Hasbro, Pixar, Dreamworks, Mattel and MORE. He started his houseplant collection after getting his bag in the gaming industry and describes the unexpected origin of Rooted Pots, quality control and the thorough creation process. Turns out our gardening culture is way more fly than gnomes and fairies!
