Today we are excited to welcome actor Casey Cott onto the show to learn about his journey in the acting world and how he has worked to prioritize his mental health throughout his life.
We get things started by hearing about Casey’s experience growing up in the midwest and sibling dynamics (3:50) before learning how he ended up at Carnegie Mellon for a four-year program (9:17).
The three of us discuss the uncertainty and fear that comes with making uncomfortable decisions (13:49), as we move into a conversation about how Casey decided to pursue an acting career (17:21).
Casey shares his experiences being cast and handling the success and fluctuating fame stemming from his role as Kevin in Riverdale (19:28), speaking about the relationships he has built with his cast members since season 1 (25:28).
We talk about how Casey trains for his acting roles, as he touches on the pressures that come with working to create the best version of his characters (30:02).
