Retired Major League Baseball Umpire, Ed Montague, told the story on how exactly he became a big league umpire and his fathers’ special connection to the game of baseball. Ed was able to be a part of some of the biggest moments in baseball history and takes great pride in being a NATIONAL league umpire. Ed also spoke about his friend and late MLB Scout, Gary Hughes, who recently passed away from cancer. Gary Hughes’ son, Rock, started a scholarship program in his father’s name to help local youth attend Gary’s alma mater, Serra High school.
