हम सभी महान भगवान हनुमान को जानते हैं जिन्होंने रामायण में बहुत महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई थी। यहाँ उसके बारे में एक छोटी कहानी है।

हनुमान वायु (पवन के भगवान) और अंजना (एक आकाशीय अप्सरा) के पुत्र थे। अब आप सोच रहे होंगे कि एक अप्सरा एक बंदर के बच्चे को कैसे पाल सकती है। खैर अंजना एक ऋषि को आगे बढ़ाने में कामयाब रही, जिसने आगे जाकर उसे शाप दिया कि वह एक बंदर में बदल जाएगा। हालाँकि जब अंजना ने क्षमा मांगी तो ऋषि शांत हो गए और उन्होंने कहा कि वह अपने मूल रूप को फिर से प्राप्त कर लेंगे, जब वह एक बच्चे को जन्म देगा क्योंकि बच्चा उसका रूप ले लेगा और इसी तरह हमें हमारे भगवान हनुमान मिल गए।
हनुमान का जन्म असाधारण शक्तियों के साथ हुआ था। एक दिन जब वह एक बच्चा था तो उसने सूर्य को देखा और उसे पकड़कर उसके साथ खेलना चाहता था। इसलिए वह आग के गोले को पकड़ने के लिए आकाश में कूद गया। यह देखकर इंद्र (थंडर और वर्षा के भगवान) ने उसे रोकने की कोशिश की और उस पर अपना वज्र (इंद्र का हथियार) फेंक दिया। इस वजह से घायल होकर हनुमान जमीन पर गिर पड़े।

यह देखकर क्रोधित पिता वायु एक हड़ताल पर चले गए क्योंकि वह चाहते थे कि इंद्र को उनकी कार्रवाई के लिए दंडित किया जाए। अब बिना वायु के हमारे ग्रह की कल्पना करें। दुनिया दम घुटने लगी और देवताओं को पता चल गया कि उन्हें वायु को गिराना है। उसे प्रसन्न करने के लिए देवताओं ने दिव्य वरदानों के साथ हनुमान को स्नान कराया। ब्रह्मा ने उन्हें अमरता का आशीर्वाद दिया और वरुण (समुद्र के देवता) ने उन्हें पानी से सुरक्षा का आशीर्वाद दिया। अग्नि (अग्नि के देवता) ने उन्हें अग्नि से सुरक्षा प्रदान की और सूर्य (सूर्य देव) ने उनकी इच्छा के अनुसार उनके आकार और रूप को बदलने की शक्ति प्रदान की। अंत में विश्वकर्मा (दैवीय वास्तुकार) ने हनुमान को एक वरदान दिया, जो इस ब्रह्मांड में निर्मित हर चीज के खिलाफ उनकी रक्षा करेगा।

इस तरह से सबसे बड़े योद्धा का जन्म हुआ जिन्होंने रामायण में एक प्रमुख भूमिका निभाई।

We all the know the great Lord Hanuman who played a very vital role in Ramayana. Here is a short story about him.

Hanuman was the son of Vayu (the Lord of Wind) and Anjana ( a celestial nymph). Now you must be wondering how can a nymph bear a monkey child. Well Anjana had managed to enrage a sage who went ahead and cursed her that she would turn into a monkey. However when Anjana begged for forgiveness the sage calmed down and said that the she would regain her original form once she bears a child as the child would take her form and that is how we got our Lord Hanuman.
Hanuman was born with extraordinary powers. One day when he was a child he saw the Sun and wanted to catch hold of it and play with it. So he jumped onto the sky to get hold of the fire ball. On seeing this Indra (the God of Thunder and Rain) tried to stop him and threw his Vajra (Indra's weapon) on him. Wounded because of this Hanuman fell onto the ground.

Upon seeing this the enraged father Vayu went on a strike as he wanted Indra to be punished for his action. Now imagine our planet without air. The world started suffocating and the Gods knew that they had to placate Vayu. In order to please him the Gods showered Hanuman with divine boons. Brahma blessed him with immortality and Varuna (the God of ocean) blessed him with protection against water. Agni (the God of fire) blessed him with protection against fire and Surya (the Sun God) blessed with a power to change his size and form as per his wish. Finally Vishwakarma (the Divine architect) blessed Hanuman with a boon which would protect him against everything created in this Universe.

This is how the greatest warrior was born who played a major role in Ramayana.
