In today's episode, we recap some of the weekend's big news leading with two significant injuries to the San Francisco Giants and their starting rotation. Madison Bumgarner broke his hand and will miss around two months. Jeff Samardzija will miss about a month with a pectoral injury. Can the Giants survive without them? What will it take. If not, the Giants face an interesting summer with possibly changes coming that could alter the immediate future of the franchise. Those moves should at least be discussed should the season quickly go south. 
Also making news this weekend was the Philladelphia Phillies signing prospect Scott Kingery to a contract extension. Then on Monday, the Arizona Diamondbacks reportedly agreed to an extension with Ketel Marte. What do these extensions mean for the players, teams and future of contracts and free agency? 
The show ends with a quick look at Greg Bird and how the Yankees were smart to sort of prepare for a possible injury, which Bird has now suffered. Other teams may regret not taking advantage of the free agent market in the way the Yankees did.
