Description

Day 3 will focus on harm reduction’s practical application. Topics will include safer substance use strategies and resources, overdose prevention, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and COVID-19 considerations. To integrate this learning, participants will engage in vignette-based exercises utilizing a Drug-Set-Setting tool to identify harm reduction intervention targets. This training day will also review the application of harm reduction beyond substance use (sexual safety, Housing First, sex work, self-injury, medication use, and chronic condition management).
