Description
Episode 19 with Annabel Louise Walker.
"I don't view it as a deficit; I view it as a difference. I believe it's difficult, but only because we live in a neurotypical world."
Annabel was diagnosed with ADHD during lockdown, and since then she has made it her mission to inspire other ADHDers to see the positives of living with a ‘galaxy brain’ and to educate people about what it is like living with ADHD.
She runs her own tutoring and coaching business, helping many children with ADHD and dyslexia, and has always been an avid amateur writer and artist.
Soon after her diagnosis, she even wrote a children’s book about ADHD called “Hadie & Adah,” in which she highlights the positives of ADHD for kids.
We talk about what chronic immaturity looks like in girls and women with ADHD (because a lot of us share this trait) — and we also talk about emphasizing the positives, as well as the benefits of dancing, chocolate and cheese.
Annabel has a lot of energy, so sit back, strap yourself in and enjoy the ride!
