Description
Episode 28 with Lisa Piana.
"I am an absolute mess, and simultaneously quite organized. It’s a strange juxtaposition."
Lisa is a coach specializing in organizing solutions for moms with ADHD. She considers herself a natural born organizer with a really messy brain! As an “organizing junkie,” Lisa has spent most of her adult life researching popular strategies on how to organize a home, manage time, and be more productive. Unfortunately, these strategies never quite fit the unique challenges she was experiencing as a woman running a home, a family, and a business — and doing it ALL with an ADHD brain!
So, Lisa did what Lisa does and she designed her own system! She founded “Ordered Organizing” where she coaches moms with ADHD on how to organize the thoughts in their brains so they can stop feeling paralyzed and move into ACTION!
Lisa lives in Southern California with her husband of 17 years, and 2 middle school aged children.
We talk all about the various messes in our lives — from messy household spaces and organized chaos, to feeling pressure to be organized as mothers, to hyperactive brains and the need for rest, and how all of this combined has an enormous affect on our feelings of self worth as women and moms.
I was instantly drawn to Lisa when she first held a time management workshop in a Facebook group, and after I reached out to her I immediately felt like I was chatting with a dear old friend — she’s so warm and personable and endlessly interesting. If you’re a mom who feels overcome by the messes of life, you don’t want to miss this interview!
Enjoy!
