Description
Welcome to The Auburn Podcast, your daily Auburn sports podcast presented by Auburn Undercover and hosted by Zac Blackerby.
On the show Friday, Blackerby is joined by Rich Perkins, a radio host at the Auburn Network. The guys talk about all of the submitted bold predictions by Auburn fans via The Bodda Getta message board on Auburn Undercover and via Twitter. Blackerby and Perkins have some fun evaluating several of the submitted predictions and chime in on some that they could see happening.
Use the following time marks to navigate the podcast:
Start of the show: Blackerby and Perkins get things going by discussing some predictions regarding total wins with Auburn’s season. Blackerby agrees that Auburn football’s two losses will come against Washington and Alabama in 2018.
5-minute mark: The guys talk about a bold prediction regarding the offensive line improving because the departure of former offensive line coach Herb Hand. Many Auburn fans feel the same way as fans are starting to believe that the offense line will be fine for the Tigers this season.
10-minute mark: Blackerby and Perkins stumble across perhaps the boldest of the predictions on the show. An Auburn Uncover subscriber predicted Auburn to have the top offense and the top defense in the country and for the Tigers to win it all. It does not get bolder than that.
17-minute mark: Will Auburn Head Coach Gus Malzahn have the offensive ready week one against Washington? That is a great question that Blackerby and Perkins toss around in response to a listener’s bold prediction. While it seems like it could have been a dig, Auburn’s offense has been stale early in seasons.
End of the show: Blackerby and Perkins notice that it has become the public opinion that Auburn will fail to have a 1,000-yard rusher in 2018. Both hosts believe the Tigers will keep the 1,000-yard rusher streak alive.
