On the show Friday, Blackerby wraps up the workweek by returning from a two-day break due to having laryngitis. He is joined by Painter Sharpless of ESPN 106.7. The guys talk about the first scrimmage for Auburn football this fall and what Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn said to the media as well as linebacker Deshaun Davis and quarterback Jarrett Stidham.

The last ten minutes of today’s podcast includes audio from Malzahn’s Thursday press conference.

Start of the show: Blackerby and Sharpless discuss the highlights from Malzahn’s comments and the guys that sound like they stood out in Thursday’s scrimmage. The injury the Calvin Ashley seemed like it could have been a lot worse. After his test came back negative, the guys speculate how long he could be held out for.

9-minute mark: Quarterback play is a fun conversation around the Auburn program right now. There were three interceptions thrown in Thursday’s scrimmage. Starting quarterback Jarrett Stidham threw none of them. Stidham’s play in the scrimmage was apparently very impressive according to reports.

16-minute mark: The guys discuss the newest wide receivers in Auburn’s offense. Coaches are throwing out a lot of new names regarding Auburn’s newest pass catchers.

End of the show: Blackerby plays the audio from Malzahn’s press conference Thursday following the first scrimmage of fall camp.
