On the show Friday, Blackerby is joined by Painter Sharpless of ESPN 106.7. The guys take a question from a subscriber a discuss what it would look like if Nick Saban coached the Tigers. Both Blackerby and Sharpless believe there is not a huge gap in regard to “X’s and O’s” and do not think it would affect the 2018 season too much. The guys also chat about the Washington receiver missing the season opener in Atlanta and how things are beginning to look more and more favorable for Auburn’s team.

Start of the show: Blackerby and Sharpless answer the subscriber’s question about Saban and the Tigers and discuss the gap between Gus Malzahn and Saban. They believe the gap is closer than people think,



10-minute mark: Washington’s leading returning receiver, tight end Hunter Bryant, will not play in the opener against the Tigers. Blackerby starts to talk himself into the Tigers for the week one prediction.

14-minute mark: Blackerby asks a reasonable question wondering if Malzahn will have the team ready to go week one.

End of the show: The guys wrap up the podcast by talking about some former Auburn standouts that are now in the league and are not being featured in good news. Former Auburn receiver Ricardo Louis will miss this whole season and former Auburn defensive back Joh Holsey will miss some time due to injuring his foot.
