It would have been so nice to go into the All-Star break with the home winning streak and overall winning streak in tact, but sometimes hockey is funny that way.
One would have thought it would have. Seeing as how the Avs have been winning all year and the Coyotes have struggled to win at all. The Avs were even 30 seconds away from extending those streaks too. But the hockey Gods said not today. Arizona forced OT, then a shoot out where a lone Arizona goal was enough to send the Avs into the break with their home winning streak gone.
