I’ve recently been working on my media kit, and while working on it I’ve been thinking a lot about credibility. Of course we need credibility, but are we too focused on it? Today we’re going to be digging deep on this topic. Some highlights include: Credibility is all about someone else saying you’re amazing. Think about it. What would make you more likely to work with me? Would you do it because I said I’m amazing? Or would you rather hear that I’m amazing from one of my clients? (minute 1:00) There was a time where I was very focused on winning an award with my dance studio. I wasted a lot of time working on winning an award that nobody cares about, and I lost. I should have been focused on gaining more customers. (minute 2:00) Most people who go to your website won’t leave the home page. Anything that you want people to know about you, put on the home page. (minute 5:00) Share what you need to be sharing with everyone because you never know when someone might be hearing or reading you for the first time. (minute 7:00) You can leave out what you aren’t good at. Don’t lie, but don’t talk about what you’re not good at.
