This podcast highlights a retrospective study which compared adult trauma patients admitted to the ICU that received a 4-oil lipid emulsion within PN therapy to patients that received either a soy oil-based lipid emulsion or a dextrose and amino acid PN. The study outcomes were incidence of infection, ICU and hospital length of stay and mortality.
