Film Kid Asks is the podcast by film students for aspiring filmmakers. It centres the conversation around what we want to know going into the industry by digging into the origin stories and experiences of professionals working in film.
Episode seventeen is a conversation with Grant Harvey who has directed episodes of Orphan Black, Tin Star, 12 Monkeys, and many other television series. He's currently working on AAA games at Ubisoft directing the cinematics. We discuss his background, the influence of where you grow up, and what skills a director should have, among other topics.
