Description

Scott Berks joins TheBadCop and DarrylW4 for the one-hundred thirtieth edition of the GeoGearHeads. This Randomize shows covered a pile of questions and feedback from the GeoGearHeads audience. Kristensson shared a tip about translations while Nighthawk700 shared how to export a field notes text file from CacheSense. Brightblades asked about documenting cache finds and the panel raved about Evernote for that (and other) task (check GGHBeta09 for the episode about Evernote and caching). Billy Robson shared his success in transferring GPX files from an iOS device to an SD card for his GPSR using the AirStash and the iFiles app (also referencing a Pocketables article). DarrylW4 also caught an article about another possible option – "RAVPower RP-WD01 Wireless Filehub / Media Drive." TeamKross was hoping for help with issues on his Galaxy S4 and it's compass. Then back on iOS Brilang was looking for caching apps with driving directions. Good and bad news there. While the Geocaching apps don't provide driving directions, most (Geocaching, Geosphere, Looking4Cache Pro, Looking4Cache Lite, Caches, Geobucket) will send the waypoint to external apps. The guys did manage to get some articles in too; "These phones will survive the apocalypse," "New sensors will scoop up 'big data' on Chicago," "Google turns on its crazy modular phone in public for the first time," and "Google's insane all-seeing Project Tango tablet is coming to consumers next year." Congratulations to jcoreyc for submitting the winning answer for this week's question. Thanks to Project-GC.com for their donation of this week's gift! The Going Caching Crew's gift pack goes to TFulton42. The stencils from Cache At Night were won by Kittykatch. Thanks to each of them for those prizes. Finally, thank you to Geocaching.com and Glympse for their prizes in the live drawing. The live video session from this Google+ Hangout On Air can be found on YouTube.
