Description
The crew from the Geocaching Podcast join in for the forty-seventh beta show. The Bad Cop, DarrylW4, HeadHardHat, and xpunkx talk about considerations when giving gifts to geocachers (or potential geocachers). This show doesn't talk so much about gift ideas, but things to consider before giving that person their gift. The Geocaching Podcast goes an annual gift guide, scheduled this year for episode 280. They begin with feedback from Nighthawk700 about a posting by Bruce of Cachesense about pricing. The demo version is free to try, while the full version is currently only $5US in the Play Store. An audio comment from jeepin_idaho prompted some discussion about NFC (and likely a full show in the future). This weeks contributors were entered into the holiday giveaways. Thanks to Magellan, listeners all over the world have the chance to win an eXplorist GC. Brand 44 Colorado was also kind enough to provide a Geomate.jr with Update Kit, Geomate Large Log Cache, and a Geomate Gnome Cache for those within North America. Along with those four awesome gifts, the hosts of the GeoGearHeads will be pitching in a few items themselves to be given away through a drawing on Episode Beta.48 (November 29, 2012) (details available here). The live video session from this Google+ Hangout On Air can be found on YouTube.
