Description

For the three hundred thirty-seventh edition of the GeoGearHeads it's just ChrisOfTheNorthWest and DarrylW4 to talk through a variety of subjects. chrispt tweeted a question about imperial units in the Project-GC New Cache Notifiers. It is coming very soon. Also of note is that Cachly 4.3 was released with support for the Apple Watch. Chris also shared the Monoprice Vent Mount he left in the Gigastock rental car. Frazeydaze asked about the show note for the GeoGearHeads (the links and full notes are only available from the web site). Then OnABoat asked about whether the hosts would make it for Midwest Geobash 2018 (GC7BMHE). Darryl will be heading down for a Saturday day-trip. Chris might actually be able to make it, but he will be hitting Going APE 2018 (GC7HJBN) and Tri-Cities 2018 Geocoin Challenge (GC7FTKR). Teamchap5 e-mailed wanting to know about the sinature items in caches. Df8an wondered about a system to archive older and unloved caches. Chris also ran through the Hidden Creature Summer Promo. Then Darryl went into the Augmented Reality Geocaching Trial. Fortunately they're easy to search on Geocaching.com. There's also an article from Engadget titled "UK won't be involved in Europe's Galileo satellite navigation program" which they discussed. Oh Beep! sent the "Woman, 27, drowns in Prague sewer system after flash floods hit while she was playing 'geocaching' treasure hunt game" from The Daily Mail. Last up was the new Unihertz Atom rugged tiny 4G smartphone. The live video session from this Hangout On Air can be found on YouTube.
