Description

The geocachingvlogger, The Bad Cop, and DarrylW4 discuss several topics on the two hundred thirteenth edition of the GeoGearHeads. The Geocaching Vlogger opened by telling us a little about the Houma Travel GeoTour. Next was a correction from brilang about the logs switching from HTML to Markdown. Darryl recommended the reference by Graham King for those wanting to learn more about Markdown. Tanjent emailed about GGH212 – he checked out DarrylW4's profile, checked a few of the Jewocaching Day logs, and his longest log for comparison to the copy-and-paste logs (one and another) he took issue with in that show. Limax called in a logging story about his experience at "Hydration Station" (GCG7AR). Mark of Oh Beep! shared in the Live Q&A about their "That Donkey Looks A Bit Pony" (GC658F7) cache which uses a Periscope video posted to YouTube as the hint. Tentmantent wrote in response to GGH209 and his desire for Geocaching.com to include a found/discovered note at the top of the trackable page like they do for geocaches. Limax also left a voicemail about that show and his trackable experiences. Through the Live Q&A Wet_Coaster reminded us about the trackable Ontario, Canada License Plates. Then on trackable etiquette, Sherminator18 wrote about her experience with a Cacher and premature logging. On a happier note, BMars7391 emailed a link to the log from a Cacher who found the traveller in a thrift store. Team Pugatch emailed about "Track Kit" for iOS which records tracks from iPhones and iPads along with offline maps. Darryl shared the GPS World article "First GPS III satellite completes critical test." Congratulations to Sherminator18 for submitting the winning response for the live question. Thanks to GxProxy.com for their donation of this week's gifts! The live video session from this Google+ Hangout On Air can be found on YouTube.
