Description
For the one-hundred ninth edition of the GeoGearHeads talk about getting geocaching information to a GPSR. debaere (Google+) joined The Bad Cop and DarrylW4 to talk about the kit he uses mentioned in his "Nexus 7 Based Geocaching Kit" post. That kit is based on an OTG Cable and Nexus Media Importer. We also heard from Nighthawk700 who shared his technique using GSAK at the center. gnies asked about using his Galaxy S4 to load his eTrex 20. TAZ427 used the Live Q&A function in the Google+ Hangout On Air to let us know he does that with his S4 and Oregon. kc9gbo shared a little about his technique using Motorola Photon to my Delorme PN-60. The panel then talked a little about the dead Go Rove project and the failing of BaseCamp Mobile. We heard from ds8300 and tor_selden with follow-up to last weeks's show. They told us about new laws in Sweden – "Stricter rules for powerful laser pointer from January 1, 2014 " – and laser safety. Thanks to tokyotwowheeling and Ed2Ed for their reviews in the iTunes Store. Congratulations to DudleyGrunt for submitting the winning answer for this week's question. Thanks to Cache At Night for their donation of this week's gift! The live video session from this Google+ Hangout On Air can be found on YouTube.
