Description
Hormones are essential in regulating a number of systems in the body, and many people are aware of how they affect women's cycles, pregnancies, and menopause. In recent years, more and more women are experiencing hormone-related problems such as infertility and early menopause. For a long time, early menopause (perimenopause) and menopause were treated with hormone replacement therapy - up until 2002 when a study called the "Women’s Health Initiative" suggested that hormone replacements could cause breast cancer in women, heart disease, dementia, and other health problems. This caused many doctors to stop treating hormone imbalance with hormone replacement therapy and many women were told that there was nothing that could be done to treat their condition. But, is hormone replacement therapy really dangerous? In this episode, I interview Dr. Mache Seibel, who is a fertility, menopause and hormone replacement expert. He has also written the books ”The Estrogen Window” and ”The Estrogen Fix”. Dr. Seibel will share his vast insights into how hormones affect our bodies, the main causes of hormone imbalance, how to balance hormones naturally, and what science really states about hormone replacement therapy.
