The Agate Agony - W.R. Madison

    The Agate Agony:

    A Havenwood Northwoods Murder Mystery

    Chapter 1: Shattered Morning

The morning air carried a symphony of birdsong as the sun peeked over the pine-laden hills of Havenwood, Wisconsin. A dusting of frost clung to the storefronts lining Main Street.

Among those shops, Agatha's Agates and Jewelry stood out with its charming blue awning and displays of polished gemstones.

Countless mornings found them, taking the short drive north from Havenwood, strolling hand-in-hand along the shoreline, Agatha's eyes scanning the pebbles for agates. Robert was always on the search for the perfect piece of driftwood for his next creation.

Their love was as enduring as the ancient rocks that lined the shores, a testament to the simple beauty of shared
