My teachers were less impressed with my talent for fiction, probably because I wanted to write stories when they were looking for evidence that I understood facts. Most of my adult life has been devoted to practical things, teaching, organising people, being sensible, but now at last I have time to persue my interest in writing historical fiction.view less
